LifterSlips™

More Reproducibility for Microarray Hybridizations

LifterSlips™ offer a simple solution to the problem of hybridization non-uniformity. An innovative raised edge design provides separation and allows for even dispersal of hybridization solutions between the DNA chip or tissue slide and coverslip. LifterSlips™ allow for increased data quality by eliminating gradients caused by floating standard coverslips on hybridization solutions. The printed bars allow for easy injection of hybridization solutions under the pre-positioned coverslips. Capillary attraction ensures that LifterSlips™ stay in place.

• Easy and air bubble free application of sample
• Eliminates gradients on slide
• Improves hybridization results (reproducibility, homogeneity)
• Applicable for manual and SlideBooster™ hybridizations (DNA Microarray)

Technology
Our range of LifterSlips™ for hybridization feature narrow 'lifting rails' along each edge to keep the coverslip from contacting the printed microarrays. Available in a variety of sizes, they help minimize hybridization fluid use while also obtaining great uniformity. Designed without the use of adhesives, these coverslips will not leach into the hybridization fluid during extended hybridization temperatures and times.

The LifterSlips™ provided by IMPLEN are manufactured from 1 mm thick glass specifically drawn for flatness and superior surface quality. The 1 mm thickness has increased stiffness that reduces variation in hybridization fluid volume. Precise ink printing provides an innovative raised edge design for consistent dispersal and easy injection of hybridization solution under the pre-positioned Lifterslip.

Features:

• 1 mm thick glass
• Uniform dispersal of hybridization solution
• Reduced hybridization fluid volume variations
• Superior flatness-substrate does not flex or bow
• Precision-cut edges
• Superior surface quality
• Consistent flatness
