The innovation for UV/Vis based nucleic acid and protein analysis
| With its innovative optical pathway the cell is designed for optimum measurement results with low sample volumes starting from 0.7 µl. The sample is pipetted onto the centre of the measuring window. Due to the integrated beam deflexion and the use of fibre-optic light conductors the sample can be measured directly on the measurement window. Using one of the two available lids of the microliter cell (lid 10, lid 50) different liquid columns of defined pathlength are created. Virtual dilutions of up to 1/50 are generated in comparison to a standard 1 cm cuvette measurement, without a manual dilution of the sample. Dilution errors are avoided and the sample can be retrieved after the measurement for further processing. The LabelGuard™ Cell is compatible in most commercially available UV/Vis spectrophotometers. |

Operating the LabelGuard™ Microliter Cell is as simple as it could be:
Step 1
Insert the LabelGuard™ Microliter Cell into the cellholder with the cell windows facing the light beam |
 |
Step 2
The sample (0.7 to 5 µl) is pipetted directly onto the active measurement window |
 |
Step 3
Closing of the lid. |
 |
Step 4
Taking the measurement. After the measurement the sample can be retrieved and stored for later use. |
 |
Step 5
Cleaning of the measurement window is easily performed with a fluff free tip or Kimwipe – no cross contamination, no dilution errors, no carry over effects |
 |
Step 6
Removing of sample residues from the lid mirror with a fluff free tip or Kimwipe. The photometer is ready for the next sample. |
