A novel wavelength shift of the Soret band in haemoglobin provides
the information to distinguish the age of a blood stain in terms of
minutes, hours, days or months.
To be fully effective the spectrophotometric analysis should be
performed at the crime scene and the NanoPhotometer™ was selected
for this application due to its portability, its low volume capability with
drift free operation and overall performance.
